The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Derrick Antoine Weaver, 19 years of age. Weaver is being charged with one count of Aggravated Assault With A Firearm and one count of Principal To Aggravated Assault With A Firearm. The arrest comes after Weaver saw himself featured on local news media. At approximately 6:15 P.M. Weaver walked into the Panama City Police Department and turned himself in. The investigation into the shooting death of Henry Mclendon continues and we are continuing to ask for the Community's assistance. We would also like to thank the media and the community for their continued support and assistance in this case.
