The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Corene Lashie Collins, 44 years of age. Collins is also known as Corene Jenkins and Corene Palmore. Collins is being charged with one count of Uttering A Forged Instrument (a check) and one count of Resisting Officer Without Violence. The arrest stems from an investigation that began after the Panama City Police Department was notified Collins was attempting to cash a forged check. Collins presented the check to Friendly Check Cashing located at 540 E. 6th Street. The check was written out for $2,638.48. She presented the check at the business in an attempt to receive money for the check. Collins was arrested on April 5, 2010 at approximately 12:45 P.M.
