Enhanced Traffic Enforcement for 04/19/2010

The Panama City Police Department is announcing that we are stepping up our traffic enforcement efforts throughout the community. However, in an effort to be fair and equitable to all members of the community we are going to announce the times and the places of these increased enforcement efforts. It is not our intention to increase revenue it is our intention to increase awareness and public safety. We will distribute the information every Friday to all local media outlets and the enhanced enforcement will begin on Monday April 19th 2010.
The times and places of our traffic enforcement efforts are as follows:
Monday April 19th 2010 our focus will be the Traffic Light at East Business Highway 98 and East Avenue and Stop Signs on Venetian Way.
Tuesday April 20th 2010 our focus will be Traffic Light at West 15th Street and Jenks Avenue and Speed Enforcement on 11th Street west of Florida Avenue and east of Lisenby Avenue.
Wednesday April 21st 2010 our focus will be Speed Enforcement on 11th Street west of Sherman Avenue and east of Bay Avenue. Speed Enforcement on 3rd Street east of Sherman Avenue and west of East Avenue.
Thursday April 22nd 2010 our focus will be Train Safety at railroad crossing on Transmitter and Hwy 231.
Friday April 23rd 2010 our focus will be Speed Enforcement on Harrison Avenue north of 7th Street and south of 15th Street and Speed Enforcement Jenks Avenue north of 6th Street and south of 15th Street.
We would like to remind all citizens to wear their safety belts and although we are announcing the times and places of these traffic enforcement efforts we are of course always diligent in our efforts to increase awareness and public safety.
