The Panama City Police Department would like to make the motoring public aware of an event that could cause short delays in their travels. The 2010 March of Dimes – March for Babies will be held this Saturday, April 24, 2010. The assembly starts at 5:00 A.M. at McKenzie Park. The march is scheduled to leave from McKenzie Park at approximately 9:00 A.M. and last until approximately 1:00 P.M. All walkers are to remain on the sidewalks along the course. The March will travel north on Harrison Avenue to 11th Street, then west on 11th Street to Frankford Avenue. South on Frankford Avenue to Beach Drive, east on Beach Drive to Harrison Avenue and return to McKenzie Park. Panama City Police Officers will be utilized for assistance and safety of crossing at most intersections, minor traffic delays should be expected along the route of the course, there will be no road closures. We would like to thank the public in advance for their cooperation and understanding.
