
The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Nicky Licole Sanders, 29 years of age. The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Nicky Licole Sanders, 29 years of age. Sanders is being charged with Fleeing Attempting To Elude and Leaving The Scene Of A Crash With Property Damage. The Panama City Police Department received information from an alert citizen in reference to a hit and run traffic crash. The traffic crash occurred at approximately 8:15 A.M when a white Ford van struck a telephone pole near the Panama City Rescue Mission. Officers responded to the area and were able to locate the suspect vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated however, the driver refused to stop at first but later stopped the vehicle. The driver is being identified as Nicky Licole Sanders. Sanders also had her one-month old infant in the van with her. The infant was unsecured on the front seat of the van, a child protective safety seat was located in the back seat of the van. Although there were no visible signs of injury the infant was cared for by Panama City Police Officers until EMS arrived on scene. EMS then transported the infant to a local hospital for examination and possible treatment. Further charges are expected in this case.
