Multiple Charges Filed

The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Casey Eli Sanders, 38 years of age. Sanders is being charged with (2) two counts of Aggravated Assault, one count of Aggravated Battery and one count of Battery. On June 6, 2010 at approximately 10:00 P.M. Casey was involved in a verbal altercation that escalated to the point the above-mentioned charges were filed against him. Casey reportedly struck a female victim's head against a truck then held her down and threatened her with a knife. A male attempted to intervene in the physical altercation and Casey cut the male victim (3) three times with the knife. Casey also threatened a second male victim with the knife. The altercation occurred near the bridge in the 200 Block of South East Ave. Casey returned to his boat and fled the area prior to Officer arrival. Officers responded to the boat launch area on Church Avenue and located Casey as he was attempting to load his boat on a trailer and leave the area.
