The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Michael Roy Tate, 35 years of age. Tate is being charged with three hundred and eleven (311) counts of possession of child pornography. The arrest stems from an investigation into the crimes after the Panama City Police Department received a tip. After conducting the investigation members of the Panama City Police Department served a search warrant at a W. Beach Drive residence where Tate was renting a room. A computer was located and removed from the residence. Analysis revealed the digital media contained unclothed children posing in a sexual manner and/or performing sexual acts. Tate was arrested at approximately 3:37 P.M. on June 10th, 2010 without incident.
