The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Edmund Ehimen Imeokparia, 21 years of age. Imeokparia is being charged with Grand Theft. On June 14, 2010 a report was filed in reference to a stolen Motorola cellular phone from the Planet Cellular Store located at 3212 West 23rd Street. Detectives with the Panama City Police Department investigated the case and learned that Imeokparia was in possession of the phone in Tallahassee, Florida. After confirming with the victim Detectives then obtained a warrant for Imeokparia's arrest. On June 15th 2010 Detectives with Panama City notified the Tallahassee Police Department of the investigation and warrant and requested that Imeokparia be arrested on the charges filed by the Panama City Police Department. Imeokparia was arrested on June 15th 2010 at approximately 5:40 P.M. without incident. The phone was valued at $449.99. The investigation continues and another arrest is expected in this case.
