The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Don Roy Windham, 57 years of age. Windham is being charged with one count of Armed Robbery. The arrest stems from an investigation into the robbery of an individual. The Armed Robbery occurred in the courtyard of the Rescue Mission located at 609 Allen Avenue. On June 23, 2010 at approximately 12:20 P.M. Windham and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation when Windham reportedly pulled a knife and held it to the neck of the victim. The victim attempted to get the knife away from his neck and Windham cut the victim on his left hand. The laceration was severe and required medical treatment. Windham left the area prior to officers arriving on scene but was apprehended a short distance from the Rescue Mission. Windham was arrested on June 23, 2010 without incident. It was reported that the verbal altercation started over a disagreement about beer and not money.
